# Get Mandatory Training developers

Read-only course data for AI agents and developers: the online CPR, AED and first aid courses we offer in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and New Zealand, their prices, and our wording on whether an employer will accept the certificate. Free, with no key and no sign-up.

## Quickstart

List the courses for a country with the REST API:

```
curl 'https://getmandatorytraining.com/agent/courses?country=NZ'
```

Or add the MCP server to an assistant as a connector. It needs no sign-in and changes nothing:

```
https://getmandatorytraining.com/mcp
```

To read one learner's own account with their consent, connect with OAuth: see [Authentication in the API docs](https://getmandatorytraining.com/agent/docs#authentication) and [auth.md](https://getmandatorytraining.com/auth.md).

## API keys

There are none. Reading the catalogue needs no key, token or registration. To act for a learner, register your app yourself with dynamic client registration at `https://getmandatorytraining.com/oauth/register`: you get a `client_id` straight away, with no approval from us. The learner signs in and allows the scopes you ask for:

- `account.read`: See your name, email, country and your courses and progress.
- `certificates.read`: See and download your certificates.

Access tokens last 60 minutes, and refresh tokens rotate on every use. A connection lasts 30 days from the learner's consent. The [authorization server metadata](https://getmandatorytraining.com/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server) and [protected resource metadata](https://getmandatorytraining.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource) describe the rest.

## Sandbox

Reads change nothing, so there's no separate sandbox: call the live API. Enrolling and allowing account access are always done by the person themselves, on the site.

## Limits and terms

Everything here is free: there's no paid tier. Client registration and token requests are throttled per address. Give people our employer-acceptance wording as it is, and send them to the course's page to enrol. Use of the site is covered by our [terms](https://getmandatorytraining.com/terms), and what we collect by our [privacy policy](https://getmandatorytraining.com/privacy).

Mandatory Training is an independent training provider, not affiliated with or endorsed by the American Heart Association®, the Red Cross®, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, the Canadian Red Cross, Resuscitation Council UK, the British Red Cross, St John Ambulance, the New Zealand Resuscitation Council, ANZCOR, St John New Zealand, New Zealand Red Cross or any government body. Course content is based on published AHA/ECC and ILCOR guidelines. Fully online training does not include a hands-on skills assessment, and some employers and licensing bodies require one, so check with yours before you rely on it.
